A Wind in the House of Islam
God is doing something unprecedented in the Muslim world today. Over the past 14 centuries, Islam and Christianity have engaged in a global contest with eternal implications. During the first 12 centuries, tens of millions of Christians were assimilated into the House of Islam, that broad expanse of territory encompassing more than 1.6 billion Islamic adherents. During those same centuries, there were only three, yes three, movements of at least a thousand Muslim conversions to the Christian faith. That pattern began to change at the end of the 19th century when two new movements of Muslims appeared: one in Indonesia and the other in Ethiopia. Then, in the latter third of the twentieth century, a further 11 movements of Muslims to Christ took place. Now, in just the first 13 years of the twenty-first century, we have seen an additional 69 movements of Muslims to faith in Jesus Christ. Though still tiny when compared to a religion that adds nearly 30 million to its number every year, this unprecedented awakening in the Muslim world is significant.
We are living in the midst of the greatest turning of Muslims to Christ in history.

Ying Kai and T4T Training Coming Your Way!
Anyone familiar with T4T (Training for Trainers) knows the name of Ying Kai. Ying Kai is the visionary Chinese-American pastor, missionary and church planter whom God used to launch one of the most dynamic church planting movements in the world today.
Ying and his wife Grace currently serve with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Steve Smith, author of T4T: A Discipleship Re-Revolution, captured Ying and Grace Kai's amazing story and the movement built on Training For Trainers (T4T) that saw more than two million baptisms and tens of thousands of new house churches planted in Asia.
Today, T4T is being adapted in a variety of countries and cultures around the world, where it is being used to reach millions of souls. Ying and Grace have conducted training of trainers around the world, and seen continual growth and multi-generational fruit.
CPMs in Latin America
At last count, mission researchers were tracking some 200 church-planting movements in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas. Latin America's most dynamic movements are currently taking place in Cuba, where Kurt Urbanek's new book, Cuba's Great Awakening, describes their growth and multiplication. Now, three additional resources are available for Spanish-speaking CPM practitioners.
David Garrison's Church Planting Movements has been translated into 20 foreign languages, and today, Spanish speakers can get the full translation, Movimientos de Plantación de Iglesias, in Spanish from our CPMs.com bookstore.
Cuba's Great Awakening
For years we've heard rumors of movements to Christ from inside Cuba. Now, for the first time, Kurt Urbanek has drawn back the curtain and shown us, in remarkable detail, just what God has been doing. Cuba’s Great Awakening: Church Planting Movement in Cuba masterfully documents the astounding moving of God during a crucial period in Cuba’s history. This inspiring movement has seen hundreds of thousands come to faith in Jesus Christ and thousands of new church starts. Congregations among Baptists alone have multiplied from 238 to 7,039 churches, missions and house churches in just 20 years. Among the Assemblies of God, the increase has soared from 89 churches in 1990 to 10,776 traditional churches and house churches by 2010. The author’s extensive experience in ministry in Cuba, his long-term relationship with the key persons involved in this movement coupled with his disciplined and professional utilization of statistical data and keen missiological insights make this a valuable resource for those who want to get a clear and inspiring picture of what God is doing through this church planting movement.
RAD: Rapidly Advancing Disciples
Looking for a practical field-tested implementation of the principles found in Steve Smith and Ying Kai's book, T4T: A Discipleship Re-Revolution? Since 2006, Wilson Geisler's RAD (Rapidly Advancing Disciples) has been used by church planters from South Asia to South Africa to multiply healthy churches and disciples by going both deep and wide.
Drawing from Nathan and Kari Shank's, "The Four Fields" and Dr. Thom Wolf's "Universal Disciple", RAD offers biblical methods for all five parts of a church-planting plan in a way that allows each of the five parts to complement and build on the others. This recently updated version of RAD is based on input from both national and foreign church planters who have been successfully using it for many years.
Churchplantingmovements.com is pleased to offer RAD for your use at no cost. We are all in debt to Wilson Geisler for sharing this resource freely to expand the Kingdom of God and to make the knowledge of God's glory known across the entire earth.
